Tasting Notes: Rich dark porter with strong roast flavours and filled with spicy and fruity hops.
About the name: The name comes from a legend about the Giant Bolster who terrorised St Agnes. When slain his blood was jet black.
Eat With: Salty shellfish, oysters or strong meat dishes.

Malt: Pearle, Golding, Bramling Cross
Yeast: SO4

From our home in Trevaunance Cove, we brew beers that carry the spirit of the Cornish coast. Since 2000, The Driftwood Spars Brewery has been hand-crafting exceptional, gluten-free ales where the Atlantic meets the cliffs of St Agnes. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the waves in every sip.
All of our beers are tested gluten-free (containing less than 10ppm gluten).
Most of our beers are also vegan-friendly as we use silicon finings within the brewing process, rather than traditional animal-derived finings.
Please note: A small number of our beers use lactose, so please check ingredients before purchase.
